Wallingford, CT September 22, 2005 TransAct Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq: TACT), a leading producer of transaction-based printers for customers worldwide, today announced that it was recently awarded U.S. patent no. 6,934,054 for its most recent patent application relating to two-color printing. This is the fifth U.S. patent the company has received for its two-color printing technology.

This latest patent includes technology that converts a full color image to a two-color image for printing, for example, on a thermal printer.
