WESTLAKE, Ohio, December 13, 2011 - TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters) has announced the opening of a new Petro Stopping Center located at I-65, exit 299 (426 Alabama Highway 69 South), in Dodge City, AL. The Dodge City Petro is the 69th full-service travel center in the Petro Stopping Center-branded chain and the 235th in the combined TA and Petro Stopping Center system.
Amenities at the Dodge City Petro Stopping Center include:
The Dodge City Petro offers a variety of additional features and comforts for professional drivers, including a CAT scale; a driver's lounge; WiFi; TripPak; faxing/copying; an ATM, check cashing, laundry facility and a game room.
The site expects to add a Petro:Lube truck service and repair shop, including 24/7/365 RoadSquad emergency road service in the summer of 2012. Other features that are coming soon are a StayFit walking trail and a designated pet exercise area.

In the fall of 2011, Overdrive magazine conducted its annual "Voted Best" survey. The results showed that drivers prefer TA and Petro over the next closest truck stop brand 3:1 for the best overall truckstop category. TA and Petro dominated the survey in 26 other categories, including largest parking lots 3:1; best overall food 4:1; most comprehensive driver services 4:1; and best overall truck repair 4:1.
