Mr. Bonke has served as a director of our company since 1995. Mr. Bonke has been a private investor for the past six years and is the retired chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Electroglas, Inc., a semiconductor equipment manufacturer. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Novellus Systems, Inc., a semiconductor equipment company. He is a past director of San Jose State University Foundation.
Mr. Sola has served as our chief executive officer since April 1991, as chairman of our board of directors from April 1991 to December 2001 and from December 2002 to present, and co-chairman of our board of directors from December 2001 to December 2002. In 1980, Mr. Sola co-founded Sanmina and initially held the position of vice president of sales. In October 1987, he became vice president and general manager of Sanmina, responsible for manufacturing operations and sales and marketing. In July 1989, Mr. Sola was elected as a director and in October 1989 was appointed as president of Sanmina. In March 1996, Mr. Sola relinquished the title of president when Mr. Furr was appointed to the position.
Couder is President and CEO of publicly traded Bookham, Inc., a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of optical components, modules and subsystems. Prior to joining Bookham, Couder served as President and CEO of Solid Information Technology, a supplier of database solutions, and was an advisor to the venture capital firm Sofinnova Ventures. Couder was president and CEO of software developer Confluent Software, Inc. from 2003 to 2004 when it was acquired by Oblix, and served as President and CEO of IP Dynamics, Inc., a provider of carrier-class security software, from 2002 to 2003. Couder held the position of COO at Agilent Technologies from 2000 through 2002, and from 1998 to 1999, he served as Chairman, President, and CEO of Packard Bell NEC, Inc.
John P. Goldsberry is a seasoned financial executive with broad industry experience in investment banking, corporate finance and computer and semiconductor manufacturing. He has over 16 years of Chief Financial Officer experience with both public and private companies and currently serves as CFO of TPI Composites which primarily manufactures composite wind blades for the wind energy industry and produces composite products for the transportation and military industries. Goldsberry also held CFO positions with Gateway, Inc., TrueSpectra, Calibre, Quality Semiconductor, DSP Group and the Good Guys and served in a variety of corporate finance positions at Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley.
Joseph G. Licata, Jr. has served as a director of our company since August 2007. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of SER Solutions, Inc., a global call management and speech analytics solutions company, from July 2007 through October 2008. Mr. Licata also served as President of Siemens Enterprise Networks, LLC, a vendor of open communications solutions for enterprises, from 2001 to 2006. He currently sits on the Board of Advisors of Dave Networks, Inc., a broadcast media software company.
Jean Manas is a seasoned financial advisor with broad industry experience in investment banking. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Foros Group LLC, a financial services firm that offers M&A and corporate finance advisory services to leading corporations and entrepreneurs. Before starting his own company, Manas was a senior executive with leading investment banking firms, most recently as Americas Head of Mergers & Acquisitions and a member of the Global Banking Executive Committee at Deutsche Bank. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a Managing Director and co-Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co.
Manas received his J.D. at Harvard Law School and his B.A. at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School. Manas is a member of the Board of Overseers of the Hill Museum and Manuscript Library and the International Advisory Council of the International Crisis Group and has served as an Advisory Board member for the Clinton Global Initiative.
Mr. Rosati has served as a director of our company since 1997. He has been a member of the law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, Professional Corporation since 1971. Mr. Rosati is a director of Aehr Test Systems, a manufacturer of computer hardware testing systems, Genus, Inc., a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, Symyx Technologies, Inc., a combinatorial materials science company, and Vivus, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company, all publicly-held companies.
Mr. Sapp served as co-chairman of the Sanmina-SCI Board of Directors from December 2001 to December 2002 and continues to serve as a director of Sanmina-SCI. In 1962, Mr. Sapp joined SCI and after holding several positions, was promoted to president and chief operating officer in 1981. In July 1999, Mr. Sapp was appointed chief executive officer of SCI and served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer from July 2000 until our merger with SCI. Mr. Sapp currently serves as a director of Artesyn Technologies.
Mr. Shortridge has served as a director of our company since December 2001. From 1992 until we merged with SCI, he served as director of SCI. Mr. Shortridge is an attorney. From 1994 to 2004 he was a partner in the law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Shortridge is currently a shareholder of the law firm of Carlton Fields, PA, and practices in that firm's Atlanta office.
Ms. Ward has served as a director of our company since December 2001. From 1992 until we merged with SCI, she served as a director of SCI. Ms. Ward also serves as a director of Wellpoint, Inc., Bank of America Corporation, Equifax, Inc., a credit information service, Flowers Foods, Inc., a baking company, and SYSCO Corporation, a food service distributor, all publicly held companies. Ms. Ward was the Outside Managing Director of Intec Telecom Systems USA, a provider of turnkey telecommunication systems and products from December 2000 to October 2006. From 1968 to 2000, she was a founder and served as President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Computer Generation Incorporated.
