TicketsWest Launches Its New 'ScanTix' Technology at the Spokane Arena

SPOKANE, Wash., Aug 27, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- TicketsWest, a part of the entertainment division of WestCoast Hospitality Corporation (NYSE: WEH), today announced that it has implemented new technology called "ScanTix" that allows for bar-coding access control to venues, amusement parks, and other special events. TicketsWest has launched this new technology at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena.

Kevin Twohig, Executive Director of the Spokane Public Facilities District and General Manager of the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena, noted, "ScanTix will further enhance the ticketing operations at our facility and be another step in our continuing effort to provide our patrons with an exceptional experience."
