(Spokane, WA, December 28, 2010) - Red Lion Hotels Corporation (NYSE: RLH) has promoted Mike Castro to Director of Brand Services.
Castro will officially transition to this new position from Assistant General Manager at the Red Lion River Inn beginning January 3, 2011. As Director of Brand Services, he will be responsible for developing, maintaining and coordinating brand services to new and existing Red Lion Hotels franchise owners and managers.
"Franchising is a very important component of Red Lion's strategic plan," said Rich Carlson, Vice President of Lodging Development for Red Lion Hotels Corporation. "Brand Services are therefore central to the health of our franchise system."
Castro previously served as Director of Brand Services for Red Lion Hotels Corporation from 2002-2007. He left RLH for an opportunity to oversee six hotels in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA as an Area General Manager. Hilton Garden Inn, Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott were a few of the brands Castro represented as Area General Manager. Most recently, Castro was General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott - Portland City Center.
