Greg Bridgeford was promoted to executive vice president of business development in 2004 after serving as senior vice president of business development since 1999. He is responsible for all aspects of the company's development of business opportunities, including corporate research, strategic planning, new business development, business process improvement, and real estate, engineering and construction. Bridgeford joined Lowe's in 1982 as executive assistant to the chairman, and has served in a variety of increasingly responsible positions, including vice president of corporate development, senior vice president of merchandising/general merchandising manager, and senior vice president of marketing. Bridgeford holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Virginia and earned an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University.

Mike Brown was promoted to executive vice president of store operations in December 2006. He is responsible for all Lowe's stores and Lowe's specialty sales businesses including installed, special order, and commercial sales. Brown began his career with Lowe's in 1984 and served most recently as senior vice president (SVP) of store operations for Lowe's South Central Division. He has previously led store operations as SVP of the West Division, and has served as vice president of specialty sales for commercial, installed and special-order sales; regional vice president of the Northeast Division; merchandising vice president of lawn and garden, bag goods/chemicals and outdoor power equipment; manager and director of re-merchandising, retrofits and specialty sales; and as a store manager.

Charles W. (Nick) Canter

Nick Canter was named executive vice president of merchandising in December 2006. His responsibilities include merchandising, global sourcing and store environment. He joined Lowe's in 1974 and most recently served as executive vice president of store operations. Canter has also served as senior vice president of store operations for Lowe's North Central Division, and led Lowe's entry into the Northeast, launching new stores in the Boston and New York metropolitan areas. He has also served as regional vice president of the Southeast region. In addition to store operations, Canter has significant merchandising experience, having served the company as senior vice president and general merchandising manager responsible for building products and also as vice president of merchandising for millwork.

Mike Mabry was promoted to executive vice president of logistics and distribution in September 2004, after serving as senior vice president of distribution. Mabry joined the company in December 2003 after a 12-year career with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing Lowe's state-of-the-art logistics and distribution network that expedites the replenishment of merchandise and supplies to all Lowe's stores. During his tenure at Wal-Mart, Mabry served most recently as vice president of global services. Mabry holds an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of North Alabama.

Theresa Anderson was named senior vice president of operations for the Southeast Division in September 2009, having previously served as senior vice president and general merchandising manager for home décor since 2006. She also has been senior vice president and general merchandising manager of home and outdoor living, president of Lowe's Global Sourcing, and senior vice president of merchandising sales and service. Anderson joined Lowe's in 1986 and has served in a number of increasingly responsible positions, including senior vice president of store operations and staffing; merchandising vice president of outdoor hardlines; and various positions in corporate training, management development and advertising. Anderson has a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina-Asheville.

Maureen Ausura joined Lowe's in February 2005 as senior vice president of human resources, responsible for enhancing the company's efforts to attract, motivate, develop and retain outstanding employees as Lowe's continues its rapid growth. Ausura has more than 25 years human resources experience, most recently as corporate vice president of human resources with international agribusiness company Archer Daniels Midland. She has also held senior-level human resources positions with Giant Eagle Supermarkets and Campbell Soup Company. Ausura has a bachelor's degree and an M.B.A. from Rutgers University.

Scott Butterfield was promoted to senior vice president of research and strategic planning in May 2006, after serving as vice president of strategic planning since 1999. He is responsible for aligning Lowe's consumer research to its business strategy, developing programs and services to meet customers' needs and the company's growth. Butterfield has more than 20 years of strategic planning, finance and management experience, having previously served in positions at companies including Pizza Hut, Inc., Kraft General Foods and The Quaker Oats Company. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Iowa and a master's degree in marketing and finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

Marshall Croom was named senior vice president and chief risk officer in January 2009 and is responsible for providing oversight and direction for the management of all material risks across the company, including enterprise risk management, workers compensation, loss prevention, safety, internal audit, quality assurance and global trade services. Croom most recently served as SVP of merchandising and store support. His prior Lowe's experience also includes SVP of finance, treasurer and assistant treasurer. Croom joined the company in 1997 following an 11-year career with Ernst & Young. He received a bachelor's degree in accounting from Appalachian State University.

Rick Damron was named senior vice president of logistics in September 2009. He is responsible for Lowe's logistics organizational structure and talent management. Damron moved over from store operations, where he served as senior vice president of operations for the North Central Division since 2008, after serving in the same role in the Northeast Division since 2004. He joined Lowe's in 1981, working in the warehouse, and has served in numerous positions of increasing responsibility in store operations, including store manager, district manager, and regional vice president of the company's Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets.

He is responsible for the merchandising strategies for tools, hardware, rough plumbing and rough electrical products. Gfeller joined Lowe's in 1999 and served as senior vice president of marketing for 10 years. He has more than 25 years of branding and retail marketing experience, having managed some of the nation's leading brand names and products at The Coca-Cola Company and Nabisco, Inc. Gfeller has a master's degree in marketing from New York University and an undergraduate degree in economics from Franklin and Marshall College.
