Ingersoll Rand Presents New Schlage and Trane Products That Make Home Intelligence Easy

VISIT SCHLAGE AND TRANE AT CES BOOTH 21423, SOUTH HALL LOWER LEVEL

LAS VEGAS, (January 6, 2011) –  At the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Ingersoll Rand, a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments, will unveil new Schlage and Trane products, demonstrate how the products work individually and show how they can interconnect to provide homeowners with greatly improved home management capabilities.

New From Schlage

Schlage will demonstrate several new capabilities of its Schlage LiNK™ remote home management system. Schlage LiNK allows homeowners to monitor and control Z-Wave®-enabled locks, lights, Trane thermostats, Schlage cameras and other Z-Wave devices from mobile phones, including iPhone®, Blackberry® or Android™ phones or a computer connected to the Internet. With its new features, Schlage LiNK now provides owners with the ability to record and archive footage recorded by Schlage cameras, integrate Z-Wave-enabled sensors and create time-based access codes.

"These new capabilities and features are the result of feedback we received from our customers who value the Schlage LiNK System but want it to do even more," said Dwight Gibson, vice president and general manager, Connected Home Solutions for Ingersoll Rand. "We took to heart what they asked for and today are announcing new features that will enable Schlage LiNK users to more closely monitor what is happening in the home."

New Schlage LiNK features and capabilities being demonstrated at CES include:

Interconnected Products:  Total Home Comfort From Anywhere, Anytime

Together at CES, Schlage and Trane will also be exhibiting a system that will change the way consumers think about their home.

One simple, Web-based interface can control several home systems, from Z-Wave-enabled lights and small appliances to heating and air conditioning. With this integrated system homeowners can:

"By helping keep homeowners healthy, comfortable and safe, the Trane ComfortLink Remote Thermostat system is a great way for today's homeowners to better manage their lives and save energy, too," Gibson said. "They're looking for peace of mind and for anything that makes their lives easier. Many also are looking to embrace new technology, and this practical application really appeals to them."

On display from Trane at CES will be the Trane ComfortLink II Thermostat, the company's latest and most innovative offering. With its 7-inch interactive high-definition color touch screen, the ComfortLink II Thermostat is the ultimate home comfort connection. Providing an intuitive user interface, the thermostat serves as an easy-to-use central planning center for the home, bringing year-round home comfort and control right to one's fingertips.
