On January 13, 2012, Dollar General Corporation amended its Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (the "Code") to expand the personal characteristics protected by Dollar General's non-discrimination policy, to expand the definition of "close relative" for purposes of rules regarding reporting to or supervising family members, and to make certain other clarifying and technical amendments. These amendments became effective on March 20, 2012 and are reflected in the Code posted above.

As required by law, we will maintain on this website until April 1, 2014 this Code of Ethics, which has been superseded by the Code of Ethics posted on the Corporate Governance portion of our website.

On December 5, 2012, Dollar General Corporation amended its Code of Business Conduct and Ethics (the "Code") to clarify that vendors may provide airfare and lodging for employees in connection with business-related meetings if appropriate approvals are received and to make certain other clarifying and technical amendments. The amendments became effective on April 1, 2013, and are reflected in the code posted below.
