(DDS: NYSE) (“Dillard’s” or the “Company”) announced today that sales for the four weeks ended November 2, 2002 were $509,286,000 compared to sales for the four weeks ended November 3, 2001 of $524,401,000. Total sales decreased 3% for the four-week period. Sales in comparable stores decreased 2%.
Sales for the 13 weeks ended November 2, 2002 were $1,794,250,000 compared to sales for the 13 weeks ended November 3, 2001 of $1,872,333,000. Sales for the 13-week period decreased 4% on both a total and comparable store basis.
Sales for the 39 weeks ended November 2, 2002 were $5,523,105,000 compared to sales for the 39 weeks ended November 3, 2001 of $5,620,946,000. Sales decreased 2% for the 39-week period on both a total and comparable store basis.
