James L. HermanSenior Director, National Accounts -
James L. Herman serves as National Accounts Senior Director. He is responsible for all national accounts sales, including wholesalers and chain buying offices, managed care home offices and federal government accounts. Previously he spent five years at Solvay Pharmaceuticals where he served as Director of Managed Care as well as Director of Trade Affairs and Customer Service. Mr. Herman spent eight years at Schwarz Pharma, a worldwide manufacturer of branded drugs, where he held various positions.

Elizabeth C. GerkenDirector, Business Development -
Elizabeth C. Gerken coordinates business development activities and is engaged in the identification of product opportunities, the process of due diligence and the negotiation of deal terms for Cumberland's agreements. Ms. Gerken previously spent eight years with Eli Lilly and Company, including management roles in Strategic Planning, Brand Management, Sales Management, and Business Development.

Bruce J. KentSenior Manager, District Sales -
Bruce J. Kent is responsible for managing that group of sales representatives which promotes Cumberland's gastroenterology product line. Joining the Company in July 2006 to form and launch Cumberland's field sales force, Mr. Kent had 19 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Beginning his career with CIBA Pharmaceuticals in 1988, he spent 15 years with what is now Novartis Pharmaceuticals, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, sales management, managed healthcare, business analysis, and ebusiness. Prior to joining Cumberland, Mr. Kent was the Executive Director of Sales for Rx Sample Solutions and the head of the Northeast Regional Office from 2004 to 2006. He holds a B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University.

Amy D. Rock, Ph.D.Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs -
Amy D. Rock, Ph.D. is responsible for coordinating FDA submissions, product filings, and clinical trials. Dr. Rock oversees the entire preparation of regulatory submissions, from outlining general strategy to reviewing individual documents. She manages all interactions between Cumberland and the FDA. Dr. Rock has experience with basic research, having published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals such as The Journal of Immunology, The Journal of Neurosurgery, and Experimental Cell Research.

A. J. KazimiChief Executive Officer -
A. J. Kazimi is the founder and CEO of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals and its subsidiary, Cumberland Emerging Technologies. He was formerly President and COO of Therapeutic Antibodies Inc., a biopharmaceutical company, where he oversaw operations in three countries. There he closed more than $30 million in product agreements and steered the company through over $100 million in debt and equity financings. Mr. Kazimi serves the industry through positions on the Board of Directors for Aegis Sciences Corporation, a federally certified forensic toxicology laboratory; the Tennessee Biotechnology Association; and Aetos Technologies Inc., a technology development company associated with Auburn University.

Jean W. MarstillerSenior Vice President, Administrative Services and Corporate Secretary -
Jean W. Marstiller directs the Company's administrative operations, site services and information systems. She also serves as the Company's corporate secretary. Ms. Marstiller held similar responsibilities for ten years at Therapeutic Antibodies Inc., a biopharmaceutical company. Previously, Ms. Marstiller worked at Brown-Forman Corporation, where she rose through management-level positions in the areas of finance, direct mail and sales.

Gordon R. Bernard, M.D.Senior Vice President and Medical Director -
Gordon R. Bernard, M.D. Assistant Vice-Chancellor for Research at Vanderbilt University, serves as Cumberland's Senior Vice President and Medical Director. Dr. Bernard is the Melinda Owen Bass Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Vanderbilt. In addition, he is the Medical Director of the Vanderbilt Institutional Review Board, and Chairman of Vanderbilt's Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, which is responsible for approving any medicines for use at Vanderbilt. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to clinical development and offers an intimate understanding of real-world medical practice, expertise in drug research, and the perspective of medical-provider administration.

Leo Pavliv, R.Ph.Vice President, Operations -
Leo Pavliv, R.Ph. has over twenty years of experience developing pharmaceutical and biological products. Beginning his career at Parke-Davis, he has worked with both large pharmaceutical and small development biotechnology companies in various scientific and management positions. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development at Cato Research, a full-service contract research and development organization. Mr. Pavliv has authored and reviewed numerous regulatory submissions to the FDA and foreign regulatory agencies, as well as several articles, a book chapter and presentations on a variety of chemistry, manufacturing and controls topics at industry meetings.

J. William HixVice President, Sales & Marketing -
J. William Hix is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts at Cumberland. Mr. Hix joined the Company in 2004 to form and manage the national sales force promoting the acute care product line to hospitals, poison control centers and physicians. He was also instrumental in the design and implementation of Cumberland's field sales force which is responsible for promoting Company products in the gastroenterology market. Mr. Hix brings significant industry experience to the Company, having spent thirty years at Novartis/CIBA-GEIGY Pharmaceutical Corporation. There his responsibilities ranged from sales operations, planning and promotion to marketing support and regulatory compliance.

David L. LowranceVice President, Chief Financial Officer -
David L. Lowrance is responsible for coordinating all accounting and financial activities including financial planning and forecasting. Mr. Lowrance has fifteen years of accounting and financial experience in both international business and manufacturing. Previously, he spent over eight years in the manufacturing sector with two global conglomerates, including four years as Senior Vice President for Icore International, a division of Smiths Group, PLC. Prior to that, Mr. Lowrance worked as a senior accountant for Ernst & Young, LLP.
