MONTEREY, CA, Jun 01, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Century Aluminum of West Virginia, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Century Aluminum Company (NASDAQ: CENX) and the United Steelworkers have agreed to extend the labor contract at Century of West Virginia's Ravenswood reduction facility through June 14. The contract covers approximately 580 hourly workers.
Century owns primary aluminum capacity in the United States and Iceland, as well as an ownership stake in alumina and bauxite assets in the United States and Jamaica. Century's corporate offices are located in Monterey, California.
