CACI Awarded Prime Position on $300 Million Multiple-Award Contract to Develop Cyber Technologies in Support of the Air Force Research Laboratory
New Work Will Help U.S. Forces Stay Ahead of the Increasing Cyber Threat
CACI International Inc (NYSE:CACI) announced today that it has been selected as one of six prime contractors to support the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Information Directorate in rapidly fielding mission-critical cybersecurity solutions on the Agile Cyber Technology (ACT) contract. With an anticipated ceiling value of $300 million, this five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract represents new work for CACI and further expands the company's cyberspace solutions capability.
Located in Rome, New York, the AFRL Information Directorate leads the discovery, development, and integration of affordable information technology capabilities for the nation's air, space, and cyberspace forces. For the ACT contract, CACI will help achieve AFRL's vision of cyber superiority by rapidly researching, developing, designing, testing, and installing a range of cyber technologies to protect information assets that are essential to national security. CACI's work will include providing solutions for threat avoidance and cyber defense, full-spectrum cyber operations, network exploitation, modeling/simulation and war-gaming, and mission assurance.
Key factors in this contract win are CACI's longstanding relationship with the Air Force and its in-depth knowledge of their mission. CACI also stands out for its ability and processes to quickly field innovative solutions to meet the critical needs of its clients.
According to John Mengucci, CACI Chief Operating Officer and President of U.S. Operations, "The Air Force continues to be a valued CACI customer as we work together to equip our nation's forces with the cyber technologies they need to protect and defend critical information assets."
CACI President and CEO Dan Allen said, "Today's cyber threat moves very quickly, which is why contracts like Agile Cyber Technology are becoming essential to ensure that U.S. forces are on the cutting edge of information defense. Our work in support of the Air Force both aids that mission and helps us to expand our footprint in the growing cybersecurity market segment."
