CACI Awarded $24 Million Prime Contract to Support U.S. Central Command Communications Initiatives
New Work Will Enhance Capability to Disseminate Information in
Multiple Languages and Communicate with Diverse International Audience
ARLINGTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
CACI International Inc (NYSE:
CACI) announced today that it has been awarded a $24 million prime
contract to support the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) with
its communications initiatives. This five-year award (one base period
with four option periods) is new work for CACI and will enable the
command to more effectively engage with its geographically and
culturally diverse audience in multiple languages.
With national and international partners, USCENTCOM promotes cooperation
among nations, responds to crises, and deters or defeats state and
non-state aggression. The command supports development and, when
necessary, reconstruction in order to establish the conditions for
regional security, stability, and prosperity.
CACI will provide support for USCENTCOM's Central Command Communications
Integration (CCCI) organization, which serves as the principal
adviser to the commander on all internal and external communication
strategies and supports the command's theater objectives. CCCI also
helping to keep U.S. and regional audiences informed about USCENTCOM
operations focused on maintaining national security, improving regional
stability, and promoting and protecting U.S. interests in the command's
area of responsibility.
CACI's efforts on this contract will include assessment of information
that supports senior leader decision making, with emphasis on regional
military, political, social, and economic issues. The company will also
assess regional and domestic media for relevance to USCENTCOM in order
to provide the commander with the ability to ensure distribution of
accurate and timely official information. Key factors in securing this
important win were CACI's well-established reputation in the federal
contracting community, its extensive resources and highly professional
workforce, and its industry-recognized credentials that support best
practices.
Dan Allen, CACI President of U.S. Operations, said, "This new work for
us with the U.S. Central Command helps strengthen our position within
the strategic communications arena. With the command's deep involvement
with partners worldwide, it's vital to communicate with its diverse
audiences with timely, accurate information. This broadens CACI's
relationship with USCENTCOM, a key customer in the evolving DoD global
strategy."
According to Paul Cofoni, CACI President and Chief Executive Officer,
"This award is important to CACI because it enables us to actively
support the efforts of USCENTCOM in communicating the story of all the
good work the command performs in its area of responsibility. From
stories about building schools, to providing disaster relief, to
promoting regional security and stability…there is a wide range of
positive information we can help disseminate to the command's numerous
constituents."
