Peter McCausland is Executive Chairman of Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG), one of the nation's leading suppliers of industrial, medical and specialty gases, welding equipment, and safety supplies, and one of the nation's leading producers of atmospheric and other gases.
Mr. McCausland founded Airgas in 1982 and served as its CEO from 1987 to 2012. He also served as Chairman of the Board from 1987 to September 2010, and again from August 2011 to August 2012, before being named to his current post as Executive Chairman. Prior to forming Airgas, he served as General Counsel for MG Industries, Inc., an industrial gas producer, and was a founding partner in the law firm of McCausland, Keen & Buckman, which specialized in mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
Mr. McCausland serves as a director of the Independence Seaport Museum in Philadelphia. He also serves on the Board of Visitors of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina, and on the Board of Visitors at the Boston University School of Law. He graduated cum laude from Boston University Law School with a J.D. degree after earning a B.S. degree in history from the University of South Carolina. Mr. McCausland is an avid golfer and competitive sailor. He and his wife, Bonnie, have two children, Christopher and Elizabeth.
Michael L. Molinini
President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael L. ("Mike") Molinini is President and Chief Executive Officer of Airgas, Inc., is a member of the Management Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Company. Before assuming his current position, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for more than seven years. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President – Hardgoods, with company-wide responsibility for directing sales and marketing, procurement, and distribution center logistics. Mr. Molinini joined Airgas in April 1997 as Group Vice President of Airgas Direct Industrial and led the build out of Airgas' hardgoods supply chain, including development of the Radnor private label program.
Before joining Airgas, Mr. Molinini served as Vice President – Marketing at National Welders Supply Company, an Airgas joint venture, where he managed all gases and hardgoods sales and marketing programs. Mr. Molinini joined National Welders after spending 19 years with the Linde Division of Union Carbide Corporation in a variety of operations, sales and management positions.
Mr. Molinini earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Seton Hall University in 1972. He has been married for more than 30 years and has four children.
Robert M. McLaughlin
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bob McLaughlin is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Airgas, Inc. and is a member of the Management Committee. Prior to assuming this position in October 2006, he served as Vice President – Controller since joining Airgas in 2001.
Prior to joining Airgas, Mr. McLaughlin served as vice president-finance for Asbury Automotive Group, a multi-billion dollar automotive retailer. Before that, he served as vice president of finance and in other financial management roles with Unisource Worldwide, Inc., a multi-billion dollar international paper and industrial supply distribution company.
Mr. McLaughlin, a Certified Public Accountant, began his career with Ernst & Young in 1979. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Dayton.
Andrew R. Cichocki
President, Airgas USA, LLC
Andrew R. ("Andy") Cichocki is a member of Airgas' Management Committee and was named President of Airgas USA, LLC effective April 1, 2014. Mr. Cichocki leads all aspects of Airgas USA, LLC – sales, operational, organizational, and financial – and reports to Airgas President and Chief Executive Officer Michael L. Molinini. Formed in 2011, Airgas USA, LLC comprises the majority of Airgas' U.S. distribution business units, including its four Divisions, four Business Support Centers, and 15 distribution regions.
Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. Cichocki served as Senior Vice President – Distribution Operations and Business Process Improvement for Airgas, Inc., a position he held since 2011. In addition to oversight of various business units, Mr. Cichocki has been responsible for Airgas' welding hardgoods and safety products distribution infrastructure, product sourcing and management, cylinder gas engineering and supply chain, and fleet management. He has also been responsible for Airgas' business process improvement initiatives, including strategic pricing and SAP implementation activities.
Mr. Cichocki previously served as Airgas' Division President – Process Gases and Chemicals from 2008 to 2011, and also served as President of Airgas National Welders, one of Airgas' large regional distribution companies, beginning in 2003. Prior to that, he served in key corporate roles for Airgas including Senior Vice President – Human Resources, Senior Vice President – Business Operations and Planning, and Vice President – Corporate Development.
Mr. Cichocki joined Airgas in 1988. He is a 1984 graduate of the University of Delaware and earned an MBA from Villanova University.
Pamela J. Claypool
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Pamela ("Pam") J. Claypool is a member of the Airgas Management Committee, and has served as Senior Vice President – Human Resources since December 2013. Ms. Claypool leads all aspects of Airgas' human resources and talent development strategies, policies, practices, and programs to influence and direct the employment experience.
Ms. Claypool previously served as Airgas Vice President –Talent Management, responsible for key human resources programs, including employee selection and orientation, talent development, and the Company's diversity program. She also served as Vice President – Human Resources for the Airgas North Division where she led all aspects of the division's human resources functions.
Ms. Claypool joined Airgas in 2007 with the acquisition of the Linde U.S. packaged gas business as Vice President of Finance for Airgas Great Lakes, Inc. before being named Chief Financial Officer for Airgas Great Lakes, Inc. Prior to joining Airgas, she spent three years in Linde's U.S. group where she was responsible for business and financial analysis, and sales compensation.
Before joining Linde, Ms. Claypool spent nearly fifteen years with Commercial Intertech, a manufacturer of specialty steel components primarily for the automotive and trucking industries, where she served in multiple finance and management roles, including general manager of the business both before and after its acquisition by Parker Hannifin in 2001.
Ms. Claypool earned her bachelor's degree in finance and management from the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay and her MBA from Kent State University.
